Day 327 - Forty Six Weeks Baby!

Chloe's week forty six was a hectic one. Mama and Daddy were quickly packing and getting ready to move the family to a new home since the closing happened on Wednesday. Even through all the chaos, Baby Girl was able to do some new things! The first thing that was the biggest is the fact that she learned to cruise around the house with her walker and walker toys. This is big since Chloe use to cruise around the home with stationery objects such as the couch, coffee table or crib. She finally got over her fears of moving objects and went for it by walking around with her walker. After she felt confident enough, she moved over to her hippo and lion. As if that wasn't brave enough for Chloe, she learned how to climb up Mama and Daddy's head board! This is scaring Mama quite a bit, but Daddy seems to love his little daredevil trying new things. Finally, the newest thing for Baby Girl this week was that her she got in a second pair of upper teeth. Now Chloe will has six teeth total at eleven months!

Day 326 - Sumo Look-A-Like

Baby Girl got a new look today. Grandma Phan put up Chloe's hair in a little bun to keep her bangs out of her eyes. Little did she know that she made Baby Girl look like a Sumo Wrestler! Check out her new do!

Day 325 - Chloe in the Box

Chloe's been having a blast with the moving. She's enjoying playing both in and on the boxes. This doesn't help Mama and Daddy pack but it sure is amusing! After a day of playing Chloe-in-the-Box, Daddy decided to take his girls to get some crawfish for all the hard work the family has been putting into the move. Thanks Baby Daddy!

Day 324 - Hostess with the Mostess

Chloe was a social butterfly with the Phan family today. First, she had a surprise visit from her Auntie Kimmie and Cousin Katie in the afternoon after lunch. Baby Girl was showing off all her cruising and crawling skills to her cousin and aunt during their visit. After that, The Phan Family went to Intercontinental Hotel to meet the Second Cousins and some family from New York for a nice dinner. Mama and Daddy were scared since this was Chloe's first dining experience at a fancy restaurant. Mama and Daddy were happy to see that her late nap kept her in happy spirits during the dinner. What a hostess with the mostess!

Day 323 - Footsteps

Mama and Daddy were excited to have their first catering gig at Footsteps today. Footsteps is a Mother's Day Out Program at West University Church that watches babies twice a week so that Mommies and Daddies can have a couple days off to run errands, or in Mama's case -- bring home the bacon by marketing for the family business. This was a special event for the Phans since Chloe will be attending Footsteps starting this Fall in September! Baby Girl looked so cute in her yellow "Jesus Loves Me" t-shirt that matched all the other kids there. Chloe felt just like one of the gang!

Day 322 - Park Play Date

Chloe went on another play date in the park with her friend Sabine today. The weather was so nice that the babies even went on a stroll around the neighborhood! After some swing time, the girls finished it up with a little cookie snack. Nothing completes a play date like food can!

Day 321 - Sold!

That's right! The Phans will be moving to a new residence in the next couple of weeks. This is as big of a surprise for Mama and Daddy as it is for everyone. The Phans put up their home for sale in hopes of getting some capitol for the family business and was thinking that it would take a while to sell the house since the market is so slow these days. Well, within one day offers were coming in and after a bidding war a contract was accepted in two days! It pays to live in the City of Bellaire!

Day 320 - Forty Five Weeks Baby!

Chloe took it pretty easy on her week forty five. She learned to follow Mama and Daddy around the house. Mama and Daddy are loving the fact that Baby Girl crawls on demand from room to room when asked to. Another cool thing Chloe learned this week was to crawl down a step. Once she figured out that crawling up a step wasn't so bad she set her mind on going down the step!

Day 319 - Dr. Gregg

Baby Girl had her first checkup with Dr. Gregg at his new family practice today. Mama was relieved to find out that Chloe's ear infection has improved majorly. Dr. Gregg found Baby Girl's ear to be a little red, so Baby Girl will need to come back for a checkup in a couple of weeks. Good thing there's always a doctor in the house with family friend Dr. Gregg!

Day 318 - Hot Doggin' It

Chloe had a lunch date with her friend Andrew at the place where Mama and Daddy went for their first date --- James Coney Island! Mama caught up with her girlfriends while Chloe got her hot dog on! Mama was so proud cause Baby Girl not only ate her first hot dog like a pro, but ate it the way Mama likes it --- with chili and cheese! And the Love Affair with food continues with hot dogs!

Day 317 - Multi-tasker

Like all ladies, Chloe is a great multi-tasker! She demonstrated it so well today by crawling with an Oreo and taking breaks to snack on it too!

After showing off her mult-tasking skills, she headed over to her friend Vincent's house for some good 'ole play time. Check out how her day went!

Day 316 - Day of Love

The Phans celebrated a Day of Love with the newlyweds Kylie and Paul Nguyen today. Mama and Daddy now realize how hard it is to keep a baby quiet at church service when all she wants to do is play! During the ceremony, Chloe was smiling, giggling and babbling at the other guests. Good thing she's a cutie or some guests could be annoyed!

Day 315 - Saying Good-byes

Mama and Daddy felt like Austinites again after the family's road trip to Austin today. The Phans made a quick day trip to Austin to give Mr. Droopy to Uncle Hau since Drew will be having major surgery and will be needing special attention afterwards. With Dream Dinners booming and the Phans being super busy, it was best to have Drew with Uncle Hau to tend to his special needs as a senior citizen. Mama and Daddy decided to say their good-byes to old man Drew by taking him to Barton Springs to let him swim free as he did when he was a pup. What made it even more special was that Droopy's god daddy Tony and his family joined the Phans in transitioning Drew to his new home in Austin. Thanks to Tony, Jennifer and Baby Isabel in easing the transition for Droopy!

Day 314 - Forty Four Weeks Baby!

For some reason, week forty four was the week for major changes for Chloe. The biggest change was the fact that Baby Girl realized that there weren't anymore boundaries for crawling. She used to just crawl in circles near Mama and Daddy and be content with being in the same room. Now that she is a little braver and a little wiser, she's now realized that crawling can be fun. Chloe now is exploring her boundaries by leaving Mama and Daddy behind in different rooms and by crawling up steps without hesitation. What happened to the co-dependent baby that liked to stay near and dear to Mama and Daddy? Another cool AHA moment for Baby Girl is the fact that she realized she can open and close doors after she crawls through them. She's lovin that so much that she's helping Mama and Daddy open and close doors when she leaves the room. What a little helper! Another big change for Chloe this week was her growing two more top teeth. This has been a little harder on Mama since Baby Girl loves to hold on tight after she's done with the boobies. Just writing about all these changes makes Mama tired!

Day 313 - Crawling Up

Now that Baby Girl can crawl, she's more determined to explore all the rooms even if it means she has to crawl over some obstacles. Mama and Daddy have enjoyed the step between rooms cause that meant that Chloe had a road block when it came to crawling from the master bedroom to the sunroom. Baby Girl has now figured how to crawl up and she's doing it without a cry for help!

Day 312 - It's In the Family

Music is definitely in the family. What's neat is Chloe's Grandpa Le, Great Uncles and Great Aunts sang or played instruments in Vietnam either for a living or for fun. Also, Mama and her siblings joined the school band and orchestras with their instruments of choice. Even Daddy played trombone when he was a kiddo. Now Baby Girl seems to share the same passion for music!
