Bye Bye Bottles

Mama and Daddy are so proud of their Baby Girl. She made the big switch from bottle to sippy cup this week in Dallas! That's right! Mama and Daddy decided to quit her cold turkey on the bottles during her mini-trip to Dallas and she took it like a champ!

In other news, Baby Girl has learned so many new tricks that Mama and Daddy can't keep track of them all these days! She's learned to point to her nose when asked and this trick has made Daddy especially happy. Daddy's been working on that trick for a while and it's finally paid off! She's also learned to say "change diaper" in Vietnamese. And the cutest new thing she recently started doing was moving her hands across her nose signaling yucky when getting her diaper changed. Oh how quickly they do grow up!

Daddy's Early B-day Celebration

Chloe had a full day of fun today in Dallas. First, she ate lunch with Mama and Donna at a Chinese restaurant. Baby Girl got her grub on with Rice Porridge and Dumplings. She also surprised both Mama and Donna by eating almost two 1,000 year old eggs right out of her hands! One egg is impressive enough but the second half just seemed so much for a Baby Girl!

After lunch, Chloe went to Happy Hour at the Marriott with Mama while Daddy napped after a long day at work. She entertained herself by running to and from the A/C vent at the lobby. Mama thought it was too cute cause she looked like a mini-model with her hair all free-flowing. As if that wasn't cute enough, she decided to top things off by bobbing her head to some music. It's too cute to see her working her dancing skills with her upper body!

Finally, the fam spent their last night in Dallas with both Donna and Hanh. Everyone celebrated Daddy's birthday a little early since Daddy will be traveling on his actual b-day. Happy early B-day Baby Daddy!

Everything's Bigger in Texas

Whoever said everything's bigger in Texas is right! Mama was amazed at how big the Texas waffles were at the hotel the family was staying at in Dallas. Baby Girl was not intimidated at all by the size...in fact, Chloe loved the big waffles so much that she wanted to eat it almost everyday!

Girley Day

Chloe spent the day with some of Mama's closest Girlfriends in Dallas. She started the day with lunch with Donna. During lunch, Baby Girl showed off her new straw sipping skills to Donna. After that, Mama took Chloe to the mall to have some shopping therapy. Baby Girl had a blast looking at herself in the mirrors and walking on the mall benches. Chloe finished her day with dinner and quality time with both Donna and Hanh at the hotel. She had a blast showing them her new dancing skills. Mama definitely enjoyed her girley day with Baby Girl!

Dallas Road Trip

The family headed to Dallas today instead of heading to DC. Daddy's clients needed him in Dallas so Mama and Chloe went on a road trip with Daddy to spend the week with him up there. The car ride wasn't too bad this time around since Baby Girl can be faced forward. Now Chloe can enjoy ride and be distracted at the same time by the scenery!

Toilet Paper

Out of nowhere, Chloe became very interested in toilet paper this week. Mama wonders if it's because she loves the taste of paper or if it's because she sees everyone using it when they are in the bathroom and she wants to be a big girl like everyone else. Either way, it's a little cute and annoying at the same time when a little toddler walks around with toilet paper in her hand and makes a mess while doing it.

These days Chloe is quickly getting the hang of things at Dream Dinners. She is showing both Mama and Daddy that she is up to the challenge of being the next CEO! Check out her mad managing skills!

Noise Maker

Chloe's sounds so cute these days with the new noises that she loves to make. The most recent one is her covering her mouth over and over again while saying, "Ahhhhhh." What a sweet sound that is to Mama and Daddy's ears!

Silliness

Chloe spent the day being silly with the Le Family. Uncle Giang and Aunt Kerina came over to play with both cousins. Good thing they were willing to put on a show. Check out the silly cousins!

Care Bears

Chloe's been given many cute stuffed animals...but the most special ones would have to be the Care Bears that her Cousin Katie gave her. Mama loves the fact that Katie played with these when she was younger, and now has passed them on for Baby Girl to enjoy. Thanks Katie for being so generous and thoughtful!

Double the Play Date

Chloe had her first play date with a set of twins today. Baby Girl had a blast meeting and playing with both boys. It was definitely double the fun for Chloe!

Right after her play date with the twins, Baby Girl hung at the pool with her Cousin Katie and Auntie Kimmie. After pool time, everyone settled into a movie and got ready to hit the sac. Unfortunately, Chloe was still in party mode cause she refused to go to sleep that night! After a lot of crying and wailing, Baby Girl was in slumber land for the rest of the night.

Traumatization

Poor Baby Girl experienced her first real traumatization today. Mama thought it would be a great idea to bring Chloe to reunite with the Doctor Lady that delivered her, but after an hour in the waiting room Mama realized this might not have been such a good idea afer all. After a little bit of squirming, playing and toddling around...both Mama and Chloe went to see the Doctor Lady for Mama's yearly checkup. At first, Baby Girl seemed fine walking around and exploring...but as soon as the Doctor Lady pulled out the necessary utensils, Baby Girl proceeded to wail and shed some major tears. Mama questions if the tears were some form of sympathy for Mama or a fear for Baby Girl that those tools might be used on her. Either way, Chloe was definitely traumatized!

This is boring!

First Boo Boo

Chloe had her first Boo Boo this week. Mama and Daddy consider that pretty good since she's only been walking for a couple of weeks now. Check out Baby Girl's first boo boo.

Swimming Cousins

Chloe and her cousins went for a swim today. It seems that Baby Girl is more interested in walking in the shallow end of the pool now instead of floating in the waters now that she can walk. That made it a little harder for Mama to relax since every step Chloe took made Mama a little bit nervous since she was so close to the edge! Good thing that Grandma Le and Cousin Cathie was there to help in keeping an eye out for the walking toddler in the pool!
