20 Months

Chloe has impressed Mama and Daddy so much at her 20th month. It seems that this month, Baby Girl's vocabulary just exploded! Some of her new words this month were wow, red, boat, bear, slide, candy, walk, light, hot, light, flower, meow, cat, lobster, crab, ew, ow, water, bubbles, toes, knee, heart, car, outside, notebook, jump, bee, bzzz, bird, hand, beep, aw, keys and moo. She's also learned to put two words together like hi baby, no more, thank you, ta da and uh oh. And when it comes to Vietnamese, she can say hurt, water, light, hold me, shoes, burn, bath, change diaper, Uncle Ca, and Grandma Phan. She's also learned her some other family names such as Hon (Mama's term of endearment for Daddy), Katie, Uncle Hau, Amy and Uncle Giang.

Chloe became more independent this month, which broke Mama's heart a little. She is now able to walk up and down the stairs all by herself, put on her own tennis shoes and velcro them all by herself! She's also learned to snap the seat belt of her booster chair and carseat. Some of Chloe's other new tricks include using possessive forms like saying Daddy car or Chloe shoe. Mama and Daddy love it that she's also learned to say her own name and recognize herself in pictures or video! And finally, Baby Girl is learning some of her letters. The newest ones she's familiar with are B, O, T, and D. What a month Chloe's had!

I can snap this all by myself.

See?

Family Park Outting

Mama and Daddy decided it was time to take Chloe to the park since the weather has been so nice lately. Baby Girl loved running free around the playground and playing by herself. Mama and Daddy are so proud of their independent little girl!

Ice Cream

Mama and Daddy wonder how they are so lucky to have a child that eats ANYTHING! Chloe loves her some fruits, veggies and anything else that Mama and Daddy put on her plate. But the one thing that Mama and Daddy did not plan on was her sweet tooth. She loves her some sweets and will do anything for them including giving her sweet smile and saying, "Please!" This is what she got today just for doing that trick!

Couch Potato

Mama and Daddy try their best to distract Baby Girl from the temptation of the boob tube but it is inevitable! At twenty months, Chloe has turned into a little couch potato. Check her out!

Piano Play Date

Anyone who knows Chloe knows that she loves music. She can't get enough of it. She loves to dance and sing when she hears a good tune. Lately, she's been loving her little piano book that Uncle Giang and Aunt Kerina bought her for Christmas. Little did she know that the bigger version is much cooler!

New Sippy Cup

Mama and Daddy decided it was time to transition Chloe from the soft sippy cups to the hard sippy cups. Since Baby Girl was using the soft nipples as a teething toy, she kept on making holes in the nipples. Mama got tired of replacing the nipples on a monthly basis so Baby Girl had to say Bu-bye to her soft sippy cups. What a sad day for Chloe.

What will I do without you?

I guess this will do...

Pigtails

Chloe can now put all her hair up into two pigtails! Mama's been waiting patiently for this day to come and now that it's finally here Mama can't help but be all smiles! Now it's time to go hair tie shopping!

Look Daddy! I have pigtails!

Potty Training

Mama and Daddy decided to start the potty training process with Chloe this month since she's been more aware of her movements. The first step Mama and Daddy decided to do was to get her comfortable with her new potty training seat. Baby Girl has been good about telling Mama and Daddy when she is about to poo poo but once she gets up on her seat, she stays for only a little bit and asks to get off opting to poo poo in her diaper. Mama and Daddy are just proud that she is making any attempt to get off diapers!

Le B-days

The Le Family came over today to celebrate Auntie Phuong and Uncle Giang's birthdays. Mama and Grandm Le made dinner for the fam to enjoy in celebration of both birthdays. After dinner, the kids had their first taste of ice cream cake compliments of Uncle Giang and they completely loved it! Cousin Peter loved it so much that he got his first brain freeze. Even though he was in a little pain, he still continued to get his grub on. Now that's a trooper!
