Chinese New Year Dragon Dance

Mama, Auntie Kimmie and Aunt Phuong took the kiddoes to see the Chinese New Year Dragon Dance today. Even though it was a little cold outside, the kiddoes still enjoyed the dance. They were so intrigued by the dragons and were not even afraid of the loud beating drums. Mama is so proud of the kids for enjoying a bit of their heritage!

19 months

Chloe keeps amazing Mama and Daddy as she gets older. At 19 months, she is quickly learning new vocabulary and learning new skills everyday. Her newest words this month are waffle, apple, pat, diaper, shoes, socks, top, juice, egg, double and night night. Baby Girl can also say fish, corn, shirt, and Grandme Le's name in Vietnamese. The biggest accomplishment that Chloe learned this month was her shapes. She knows which shapes fit in her puzzles and she learned this skill all by herself! And lastly, Baby Girl now has a lovey. She is so attached to her dolls that she plays with them nonstop and wants to keep them close to her. How cute!

Play Date With Cousins

Chloe finally had a chance to have a play date with both Julianna and Noe Claire today. It's been hard for Mama and Janelle to get together since Baby Girl's either been sick or busy. Chloe had a lot of fun hanging out with the two cousins while Mama, Janelle and Toni got their shopping and grubbing on. Overall, I would say today was a win win situation for all the girls!

Year of the Ox

Chloe celebrated her second Chinese New Year today. Mama really enjoyed seeing how much times have changed. Last year Baby Girl just sat around people watching. This year she was able to enjoy receiving her little red envelopes (lee see) and eat yummy food!

Cha-Cha Love

Slowly but surely, Cha-Cha is warming up to the idea of a little person sharing her space. Chloe's been lucky enough to get little kisses by Miss Cha-Cha but no cuddling yet. As of this month, Chloe got some Cha-Cha loving! On her own, Cha-Cha curled up to Baby Girl in her tiny little nook and took a siesta with her. How cute!

Baby Stroller

Chloe loves her baby stroller. She puts all of her dolls in it and pushes it around the house all day. She loves it so much that she even gets in it and asks Mama and Daddy to push her around! Good thing it's Chloe-size!

Chloe's been associating the cell phone with Daddy since he's been traveling. Everytime she hears anyone's cell phone ring, she just says Daddy, Daddy. What a sweet sound to hear!

Teething Continued...

All of Chloe's teeth came in last month, but for some reason the teething is not finished. It seems that she has some small gaps between her teeth so now they are closing in slowy but surely. Poor Baby's having a rough time with it. Mama wonders when the teething madness will end?

Headbands

Mama thought it was time to try headbands on Baby Girl now that she's older. Chloe loved the idea of a new do so much that she put all her new headbands on her head at once. Check out our silly girl!

Ethan

The Phans headed over to the Castillo household to meet the newest member of their family, Ethan. Baby Girl did a great job of sharing her Mama with Ethan. Chloe didn't even try to push Ethan off of Mama like the first time she saw Mama hold another baby. Mama couldn't be any prouder!

Carousel Ride

Mama and Daddy went shopping with Baby Girl today at the Katy Mills Outlet. Chloe had fun checking out all the brave people who went rock climbing. She was especially interested in all the little kids that did it! After some people watching, Daddy took Baby Girl on the Carousel ride. She loved going round and round with her Daddy. What a sweet sight to see!

Pantry Play Time

Chloe's newest game that she likes to play these days involves the pantry and canned goods. Baby Girl loves to take cans out and make a pile out of them. After she's done making her pile, she then proceeds to place the cans back into the pantry. Who knew the canned goods could be a source of entertainment for a toddler?

Girls Play Date

Chloe had another great play date with her friend Sabine today. They caught up over lunch and played outside for a bit afterwards. Mama and Kim had fun watching the girls share their toys and space. Both Moms are loving that their daughters are learning the concept of sharing!

Chloe's New Friend Seth

Mama took Chloe to meet her new friend Seth today. This time Baby Girl wasn't as jealous with Mama holding a new baby as she was the first time. It's good to know that she's warming up to the idea of Mama holding another baby!

Happy New Year!

Happy 2009! Mama and Daddy decided to host a dinner with the LePhan family to celebrate the beginning of the New Year. The family had fun getting their grub on and hanging out. What a nice way to start off the New Year!
