Day 296 - Bluebonnets

The Bluebonnets are here! Mama, Grandma Le and the Picture Lady headed to Bluebonnet country to take some pics of Baby Girl for the Picture Lady to market her upcoming Bluebonnet Photo Session. Chloe had so much fun eating the grass and flowers. Good thing she was happy with that so we could get some good shots. Check them out!

Day 294 - Forty One Weeks Baby!

Week forty one was an interesting one for Mama and Daddy. Baby Girl is starting to be a little more curious and show a little bit of defiance. The curiosity thing is funny cause she drops everything over and over again and tries to see what will happen to the object of choice. It's cute to see her smile when she looks to see where it drops. And for her being defiant, now when it's time to get her diaper changed she wiggles like a worm and tries to crawl away as fast as her little arms and legs will let her all while screaming or whining. That makes it super hard for Mama and Daddy to change her. Where did this little attitude come from?

As for her words for the week, Chloe seemed to be fixated on the word "aya." She kept on repeating that word over and over again all week. It's adorable cause she sounds like a little 'ole lady saying that. The second word Baby Girl couldn't get enough of was "bye." Now that she's figured out that it goes with the waving, she just kept on repeating it all week. How do her little arms not get tired from all that waving?

Day 293 - Lunch Date

Daddy took Mama and Chloe out to celebrate Mama's first week at Dream Dinners today. Daddy and Mama enjoyed some food while Baby Girl enjoyed her crayons and lemons. What a treat it was for everyone.

Day 292 - Banh Trang

Chloe is definitely Daddy's Little Girl. She seems to be enjoying all the food that Daddy likes. The thing that cracks Mom up the most is the fact that she can't get enough of Banh Trangs (Spring Roll Wrappers). Daddy likes his crispy but that would be too hard for Baby Girl to digest. So after a little water dampening...taaadaaa...Chloe has a new chewy snack!

How come your piece is bigger Daddy?

This hits the spot!

Can I have a piece of that Chloe?

Day 291 - Choo Choo

Baby Girl is getting so good with her hand/eye coordination. It's cool seeing her playing with her train cause now she actually understands to put the ball in the opening to see it come out the back!

Yummy!

Oh!!! You put it in there?!?

In you go!

Day 289 - Bookworms

Easter Sunday was a relaxing day for the Phans. After a nice lunch with the Le family, Daddy took Mama and Chloe out for the day. The first stop was to Borders for Daddy to find a new programming book for his job search. Baby Girl did a wonderful job helping Daddy find the book he needed. After hitting the book store, Daddy surprised Mama and Baby Girl by taking them to one of Mama's favorites, Auntie Chang's Dumpling House. The last stop Daddy took his girls to was the Bubble Tea place. Chloe got to experience her first Bubble Tea by sipping through the big straws. Way to go Baby Girl!

I'll help you find the book you need Daddy.

Is this the book you looking for Daddy?

Day 288 - Antibiotics Rocks!

The antibiotics kicked in for Mama and Baby Girl today. Too bad it took a week to do that! Mama decided to drop by Dream Dinners for her first official day as a full timer to say hi to everyone since Chloe and Mama were feeling a little bit better from all the drugs.

Day 286 - Forty Weeks Baby!

Week forty was a tough one for Baby Girl. After dealing with a fever, the coughs and a runny nose Chloe got an ear infection. Even through all the rough times she still was able to learn some stuff. The coolest new trick for Chloe this week was the fact that she could express herself more when she's hungry. When she wants to get some quality time with Mama, Baby Girl pants heavily and pats Mama's boobies. If she doesn't get what she wants right away, the pants get louder and the pats get harder. Another thing how she learned to express herself is by pulling off her own bib when she doesn't want it around her neck. This is a tricky one since Baby Girl is such a messy eater!

As for the words of the week, it seems as if Chloe is making the connection with more words. Now when Mama and Daddy ask her where Cha-Cha and Droopy are she turns towards their direction and smiles at them. It's great to know that she knows who the other Phan members of the households are. This is just the beginning of Baby Girl figuring out who's who.

Day 285 - First Ear Infection

Poor Baby Girl got her first ear infection. Nanny Juanita found fluid leaking out of Chloe's right ear and told Daddy all about it after he got home from Dream Dinners. Mama and Daddy took Chloe to the Dr. Lady to check out what the fluid was all about. Once the Dr. Lady looked inside Chloe's ears, she told Mama and Daddy that Baby Girl's ear drum busted and that's why the fluid leaked. Chloe has an ear infection in both ears, but the right one was in worse shape since the drum busted. The Dr. Lady also told Mama and Daddy that she got the ear infection since she was sick this past weekend with the fever, coughs and runny nose. Baby Girl is now on antibiotics and ear drops to clear up her ear infection. Hopefully she will be better real soon.

Ear what?

I don't feel good.

Day 284 - Wagon Wheels

Baby Girl has moved up to a new snack...the wagon wheel. She loves it cause she can hold it all by herself and it melts in her mouth oh so easily. Check out how big these wagon wheels are!

How am I gonna put this all in my mouth?

I guess I'll have to eat it little by little.

Day 283 - Slinkie

Chloe kicked it old skool style with a slinkie that Mama got from her job. Check out how much fun Baby Girl had figuring out what to do with it.

What is this Cha-Cha?

It curls?

Look...one hand!
