Day 192 - Just What the Doctor Ordered

Baby Girl did exactly what the Doctor Lady prescribed for the Roseola...plenty of rest. Mama and Daddy were happy to see that she could take it easy and let the rash take its course.

Day 191 - Roseola

Mama and Daddy didn't know what was going on with Chloe this week. It looked like she was teething since she had a fever and a light case of diarrhea but that wasn't the case. After her fever broke a rash took over Chloe's body. Mama and Daddy called the Doctor Lady and found out Baby Girl had Roseola. Roseola is a virul rash that comes with a fever that can last for days. There's no treatment for this so all Mama and Daddy could do was wait it out. Poor Baby Girl. She had no idea her what was going on with her body. Day 185 - Duckie

Chloe's new favorite toy is her duckie. It's not your normal duckie that you play with in the bath tub. It's a teething toy that can also be a floating toy for baths. I guess you can say it's a two-in-one Duckie. What a new twist on an old time favorite.

Day 182 - Twenty Five Weeks Baby!

This week Baby Girl's became more animated than ever. She's developed little squeels and grunts to express herself. Mama and Daddy have noticed that when she wants something she usually makes a noise that sounds like a monkey and when she's happy she squeels. The funniest example is when her cousin Cathie was eating a banana in the car and Chloe made the "monkey" noise to ask Cathie for some. Once Cathie gave Baby Girl some banana the grunts resided to squeels of delight. How cute!

Day 179 - Tendonitis

So Mama finally got answers about her wrist pain this past week. At first, Mama thought it was carpal tunnel so she wore a brace to help with the pain. Once she met up with the Hand Doctor some questions were answered. Mama doesn't have carpal tunnel. She has tendonitis, which is common to new moms due to repeated motions such as picking up your baby. How can you tell the difference between carpal tunnel and tendonitis? Easy, if you have carpal tunnel you feel numbness and Mama didn't feel that. The Hand Doctor worked his magic by giving Mama a VERY PAINFUL steroid injection. According to Mama, here's the order of pain in medical treatments...steroid shot, IV, epidural. When you receive an epidural, they localize you first so you don't feel it coming in. When you get a steroid shot, they just stick a long needle and inject the goods. Now Mama has to wear a hard plastic custom-made brace that prevents her from moving her thumb for three weeks. And to think, Mama thought the worst pain was over after delivery. Hopefully surgery will not be an option. If you want more info on this, check out http://www.harvardhealthcontent.com/health-commentaries/hand-pain.php.
