Day 245 - Happy Chinese New Year!
Today marked the first of many Chinese New Year celebrations that Chloe would be attending in her lifetime. The Lunar Year is celebrated every year with two traditional dances called the Lion and Dragon dances. The Dragon dance symbolizes the bringing of good luck and success in the coming year while the Lion Dance wards off bad luck, scares away evil spirits, and ushers in good luck. Chloe was lucky enough to see both of these dances today at the restaurant located right next to Dream Dinners. If you don't know by now, Chloe is a quarter Chinese and three quarters Vietnamese. What's great for her is that both cultures celebrate this holiday.
